It's one of the great wonders of the universe, unique in all the vastness of space: a planetary system without a sun. The greatest minds of Koprulu Sector debate its origins; was it intentionally moved, perhaps by Xel'Naga technology of incredible power? Or was it simply a natural event, incredibly unlikely but not quite impossible? Or did the planets somehow weather the destruction of their own star? Many questions remain unanswered, and the lifeless worlds tell no tales.

Orbiting one another, the vast gas giant Melchizedek 1 and the rocky terrestrial world Melchizedek 2 (as their Terran discoverers named them) hang silently in the endless darkness. They would be nothing but a scientific curiosity, a strange and beautiful phenomenon quickly forgotten in times of war, if not for the Phased Disturbance Disk. The Disk, a vast, invisible force that encompasses the gravity well between and immediately surrounding the two planets, has been proven to cause irreversible insanity in any creature, Protoss, Terran, or Zerg, than spends more than eighteen standard hours within it.

Why the Disk exists, no one can be sure. Some suggest that a Xel'Naga artifact is projecting the disk, perhaps for the purpose of protecting a great vault filled with the ancient race's powerful technology. Others believe that the unique properties of the system itself cause the Disk to form naturally, and that studying its properties could allow for new weapons (or evolutions) in the arsenal of any group that manages to collect and analyze enough data on it.

Whatever the truth, the Melchizedek system will not be silent much longer. Word of the discovery has leaked to a number of powerful groups from all three races, all of whom might just be willing to risk the dangers of the twin planets in exchange for unlocking their secrets. They will have to clash with one another in the blood-red glow of the luminescent planets, racing to meet their goals before their rivals and before eighteen standard hours are up, lest they be driven mad and doomed to wander mindlessly for the rest of their days, far from home and their dreams of power.

OOC: Hey, all! I recently played a little of a friend's Starcraft 2, and then a little of my own Starcraft, and I got in the mood for a good Starcraft RP. I looked for a good long while and discovered that this is one of the only active sites where people who have displayed interest are still around; thus, here I am. I saw that the previous attempt at making an RP, "After broodwar", fell through because the original poster left, so I decided to roll in and check if anyone was still interested in a good bit of RPing. This RP is set 3 years after the events of Brood War, and thus 1 year before Starcraft II.

My ultimate goal is, if this RP goes well, to set up a series of RPs, over the course of which our characters can grow. Whether that will actually happen or not depends on how much interest there is. For this first one, I decided that a location-based RP would be wisest; that way we can all get together quickly and without making up strange excuses for running into one another. The RP also has a time limit; the eighteen hours before the Phased Disturbance Disk drives anyone still in the system to incurable, brain-melting insanity. In short, if we can get enough players this should provide a rather frantic series of battles and hasty alliances as each group pursues its goals.

As RP creator, I will be responsible for moving time along. I won't do so at a breakneck pace, I promise, but I do want to impress a sense of urgency on all the participants. I would like this to be a literate RP; in a nutshell, that means I want posts of one paragraph at the barest minimum, and I would like them to be spell-checked, with proper punctuation and grammar. I often type my posts in a word processor to help with that; it's not hard, and it makes the thread much easier to read. An RP of this level also means that character sheets are applications, and I reserve the right to ask you to make changes before accepting you into the RP.

As an incentive for good RP, I will work cooperatively with all the players who stay all the way to the finish to create an epilogue for each character and their forces. Depending on what you did, the quality of your posts, and how well you played your character, it will be jointly decided how well the battle went for each group, which can be mentioned in the next RP (if there is one). No one gets to vote on their own epilogue, myself included.

It is my hope that characters created for this RP will be reused in future RPs, regardless of who creates them. The character template is below; please make detailed, fleshed-out characters that are interesting to roleplay and have room for growth, though your application need not be nearly as long as mine.

Name: (Make it appropriate to your race, please)
Gender: (Male, Female, or None, since most Zerg are genderless)
Race: (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg only)
Age: (Keep it reasonable; Protoss can live up to a thousand years, but Terrans cannot)
Base Unit: (Units from Brood War and Starcraft II are both fine)

Appearance: (One paragraph minimum; describe weapons and armor here as well)

Personality: (One paragraph minimum; your character's outlook, fears, and goals)

Biography: (Two paragraphs minimum; what has shaped your character so far?)

Forces Commanded: (Keep it on the small side; this is combat recon, not an invasion)

Unfortunately, there always have to be rules. Players in this thread are expected to follow all the normal site rules, and the rules listed below as well.

    1. No God-Moding. This means controlling another player's characters in any way. Do not speak for them. Do not automatically hit them. Say you fired or slashed at them, not that you shot them or cut them to bits. You control only your character and his/her/its forces, period.

    2. No invincibility. Battle RPs only work if both sides are willing to take hits. If your opponent attacks you, visualize what would happen in Starcraft. Very few battles, if any, take places without a single loss, and that's the way RPs should be. If you think you can counter an opponent's move, describe your counter-move in detail, but if you don't take hits, then nobody will and battles will mean absolutely nothing.

    3. If you have an issue with another player based on their reaction to a move you made, send a PM to me and we'll try and work it out between the two of you. If you have an issue with me or decisions I make in the RP, still PM me; if we can't work things out, I'll call in some other roleplayers from the thread to decide. This only applies to in-character stuff; talk to the moderators for any other kind of dispute.

    4. Don't post out-of-character once the RP has started; if you need to ask something OOC, use a PM. If that doesn't seem practical, do ((OOC: this)) at the beginning or end of your post. Do not make an all OOC post; always attach it to an in-character post.

    5. I'm leaving the nature of the planets and the Phased Disturbance Disk pretty much open, but it should be hard to uncover their nature. Don't do it in the first couple of posts, because that undermines the sense of the epic we're trying to build. Make it a struggle. Also, there is no indigenous life on the terrestrial planet (and obviously not on the gas giant). Petrified forests are the only hint that anything ever lived there.

    6. Original characters only; no Jim Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan, Arcturus Mengsk, Zeratul, etc. Also, explain how your character's forces came to be under his/her/its command; soldiers and war machines don't spring up overnight unless you're Zerg, and even then you should explain how your troops got the evolutionary features they have.

Now, this post is entirely too long already, so I'll stop short of posting my bio. If you have questions, PM me. If not, fire up an application so we can get RPing!

    Name: Sienna Artimus (Ghost-564-Delta)
    Gender: Female
    Race: Terran
    Age: 20
    Base Unit: Ghost

    Appearance:

She wears the typically Ghost hostile environment skin, bearing the red colour. Wearing no face mask but goggles to shield her eyes. Her rifle is a standard concussion rifle, as well as a backup Gauss Pistol. And to serve as close combat a Small double edged titanium dagger. She is slim with Blonde hair, layed back.

    Personality:
Sienna often comes across as blunt, uncaring and with quite an attitude. However, most of the time she is hiding the fact that she’s still got some humanity left. She cares, she cares more than she will admit to; she is simply afraid to show it on fear of once again losing what she cares about. She enjoys the simple things in life, especially finding an isolated body of water and indulging herself with a cleansing swim. She is known however to some days for sometimes very odd reasons, being extremely playful and joyous, but these aren’t too common and often surprise anyone that knows her well.

    Biography:

Born in the Confed time, her parents worshipped the chance to place her in the Ghost program. She qualified for this. With a finally good bye, Sienna's life changed being nine. All her friends she knew were gone, her family and parents. It was only her, and her call number. Which would be referred to her name for the rest of her life sadly.

Being appointed to Delta Squadron. She fought with them, for the remainder of the Confeds rule. As with more Squadrons, they all defected with the new 'Dominuion'. This affected her in no way, to her. It was a simple job.

With her memory free. She was able to adept a personalty, and much more. Her name became hers again, which brought a smile upon her face.

With the latest events unfolding, And due to her experience, Sienna was called up to a local Battle Group, small in numbers. She was meant to take full Command and investigate the approaching area. This will lead on to future events.

    Forces Commanded:

    Recon:

    1. Sienna Artimus

    Reinforcements:

    1. Marines x 8
      SpecOps Dropship x2
      Siege Tank x1
      Vulture Bike x1

I've been looking for weeks to find a decent starcraft II roleplay. So I'm hoping this will be good.

    Name: Torin
    Gender: Male
    Race: Protoss
    Age: 279
    Base Unit: Zealot

Appearance: Torin is a young male protoss with black hair (tendrils) growing out of the back of his skull. He wears an improved Zealot armor with symbols that states his command and also has stronger shields.
Instead of the dual psionic blades, Torin only has one blade on his right arm. On his left arm he has a modified psionic blaster. This giving him a ranged attack and the ability to engage even airborne opponents.

    Personality:
Torin is still a young Protoss. Being impulsive, naïve and overly optimistic at times. But mostly he is a strongly focused and determent person. Fast to act and a quick thinker. He's upright and virtuous, willing to forgive rather then to seek vengeance.
But relentless and valorous in glorious battle.

Still at quiet moments he tends to turn to himself a lot. Wondering if perhaps the future lies in a merging of the two lifestyles. The Protoss and the Dark Templars.
Like many Protoss, Torin is a philosopher. Trying to see beyond time and space to understand the deeper meanings of the powers in the cosmos. And the Xel'Naga who created them.

    Biography:
Torin was one of the young Zealots that were on the planet of Zhakul. He was one of the guards of the Preservers. Not many knew of the Preservers and the planet so life was quiet and peaceful. Still with the growing thread of the Zerg and the coming of the Brood War, the forces on Zhakul started to increase in size and train more. The Preservers were foretelling impending challenges for them all.
Torin, during these harder trainings, started to make a name for himself as a tactical leader who was cunning in dealing with unsuspected situations. Impressing his peers at young age. Torin also shows great psionic potential but he is currently too young to begin learning how to master them.

After the destruction of Aiur, a great scar was carved in the heart of every protoss. But the disaster did ended them up reünited with their long lost brethren. The Dark Templar's that sought out the power of the void. A search that had them exiled long ago because they were in conflict with the teachings of the Khala.
With the protoss now living on Shakuras, some also arrived on Zhakul. Their dark wisdom started to confuse Torin. Making him question the Khala, and why the Dark Templars were banished in the first place.

Still, as word reached Zhakul of the Phased Disturbance Disk. The Preservers immediately dispatched a small group to investigate this strange phenomenon. And if possible retrieve the source of this power if it isn't a natural force. Or at least learn how to replicate the results for use in the great war. But most importantly, to prevent others from learing it's secrets. For such knowledge can not fall in the hands of the enemies of the protoss. The ignorant Terran or even worse, the Zerg.
Torin received command of this recon force. With his main task of protecting and guarding the templars that would accompany him. They would conduct the investigation and it was up to him to make sure they would be successful.

And so, Torin left Zhakul. Not knowing of the growing shadow that was falling over his home planet and the Preservers.

    Forces Commanded:
    Zealot x5
    Stalker x4
    Observer x2
    High Templar x3
    Dark Templar x3

    Transport
    Warp Prism x1
    Phoenix x2 (escort)

    Name: Carl Lawcewicz
    Gender: Male
    Race: Zerg
    Age: 30
Base Unit: Umm, something like the Starcraft 1 Infested Kerrigan, only without the psi-storm, and can burrow.

Appearance: Carl has a severe physical disability that makes him exceptionally tired after doing strenuous tasks such as running. He usually rides a wheelchair though his legs are fully functional, to save energy. He wears glasses, a collared shirt, and black trousers most of the time. He walks rather awkwardly, but talks normally. Socially, he gets along with the brighter people he knows, but is often ridiculed for his weakness.
    That is, before his infestation.
Due to the low density of his muscles, the infestation strengthened them without necessarily increasing their size. He still fits into his clothes, and he actually tries to keep them clean, to confuse enemy soldiers. On both arms, he has burrowing claws similar to those of zerglings, allowing him to burrow with the rest of his squad to retreat or to lie in wait for an ambush. His left arm now features a large retractable, serrated blade made specifically to cut through steel and flesh alike using the same mechanism as Zerg burrowing claws. On his right arm, his fingers became supported by smaller tentacle like growths, which allow him to make extremely fast movements with them. On his back, he has three corrupter tail-like growths that trail behind him as he walks. His feet have grown claws above them, securing his feet into the ground while not making walking as awkward. His hair was more-or-less unaffected, but has stopped growing.
However, his disability has still kicked in. He has a very low reserve of energy, and while he can regenerate quickly, he cannot do so for long. His powers let him control his squad with his mind, and see what they see, but he himself can only fight for a short time before he must burrow or retreat.
He also has a scar on the side of his face.

Personality: Despite what infestation did to Kerrigan, Carl was more-or-less unaffected, due to his complex mind. The Zerg virus was not powerful enough to change the way he thinks. So while the Queen of blades sends hundreds of Zerglings to their painful death, Carl keeps a highly-trained part of Zerglings that he never sends at a wall of Seige Tanks. Rather, due to his vastly increased toughness from the infestation, Carl often takes hits for his Zerg. When his Zerg are injured, he will stand and fight in their place while ordering them to stay burrowed. He once dived in front of David, one of his Zerglings to protect him from a Seige Tank shell. He still has the scar to this day.
Due to his care for them, his Zerg have become very attatched to him. They will no longer take orders from the Queen of Blades (not that she cares), and will do just about anything for Carl. In his appreciation for his forces, Carl gave each of them a human name.
When Carl leads his Zerg into battle, he uses more "human" tactics, requiring more stealth and patience than a traditional Zerg rush. He has caught numerous Terran soldiers off guard, who were quickly destroyed. After a fight, the human side of him mourns the death of the Terrans he kills, but he has no choice but to obey the Queen. In battle, however, Carl's Zerg side takes over completely, and he will brutally slaughter any Terran he sees. This can be problematic during a stealth operation, because he will more-than-not blow his cover and be forced to retreat. However, he is persistent, and he will attack again when the enemy least expects it.
Carl has never known much about the Protoss, but he knows that they are formidable warriors, and is eager to meet them on the field of battle.

    Biography:
Carl was an incredibly gifted young man since childhood. Though he was born with an extreme form of anemia, forbidding him from doing any strenuous work, his IQ was well above normal. At age fourteen, he mastered the most recent command simulation software, and the Dominion Military began to show interest in his capabilities as a commander, not on the field but from the safety of a transport or battlecruiser. He was drafted into command school when he was 16, and graduated at age 22.
However, as knowledge of the disk spread, the Dominion became interested, and sent Carl with a reconnaissance group to investigate. This was when he was 25, so he had proven himself before. However, all heck broke loose when a scourge asploded into the pilot's compartment, instantly killing the pilot. The dropship's autopilot safely landed the ship, but by then the Zerg were on the ground. Waiting for Carl.
After he and his squad was infested, he proved to be an extremely valuable--and low cost asset to the Queen of Blades. His Zerg lived so long that their metabolisms grew beyond their already designated form. They gained unbelievable abilities for a Zerg, and were exceptional fighters. The Queen of Blades took notice, and planned to spawn an elite force of Zerg similar to Carl's one day, but never got to it.
Following the crash, the Zerg gained knowledge from Carl himself about the disk, and its significance. Carl was sent to prove himself once more. He chose to use the old dropship for transport, due to lack of... leg room inside most Zerg transport systems.

    Forces Commanded:
    Harry the Hunter-Killer
David and Danny the Devouring Ones
    Robert the Roach
    Mickey the Mutalisk
    Clyde the Corruptor
Ned the Nydus Worm He called in sick
    1x Special-Ops Dropship
    4x Infested Terrans

By the way, is it okay if our units have certain abilities that most units don't? Specifically, I'd like an armor-piercing attack with a cooldown for the Zerglings, increased number of attacks for the hydra and corruptor, and the ability to move while burrowed for the ground units. Is that too much?

Hi, all. I've posted twice over the last five days. What's that? You don't see anything? Funny story. The anti-spam system ate my posts because I used a link in one of them. This is the third time I'm typing this out, and I'm getting a little tired of it; hopefully it works. Anyway, I'm glad to see all of this interest! I've gone through and made some comments on each profile; they're listed in order of posting below.

RreaperRandom: I personally find that, the better fleshed out a character is, the more fun he/she/it is to roleplay. At the moment, Kyle is a little two-dimensional, but that can easily be fixed with a little work on your part. We'll start with appearance. What color are Kyle's eyes? Is his hair straight or curly, long or short, messy or well-groomed? Does he have any distinguishing marks, like tattoos, scars, piercings, or cyberentic implants? How is he built, lithe and quick or strong and tough? What does his suit look like? What do his weapons look like? Does he walk around openly and confidently, trusting in his abilities, or is he always low to the ground, scanning for enemies?

Second, Kyle's personality. You say he is kind to his men. Does that take the form of a gruff pride, making his troops work to earn even a single compliment but respecting them all the more for it, or is he soft-hearted, mourning every soldier that falls and immediately disregarding all other concerns to take care of the wounded? Does he enjoy violence and revel in killing like Gabriel Tosh, or does he plan to build a better, more peaceful future, like Matt Horner? You also say that Kyle hates the Zerg. What form does that hatred take? Does their presence drive him into a bloodlust, causing him to throw everything at them and attack without mercy, or does it make him cautious, carefully planning the ambush that will wipe them out?

Finally, Kyle's history. At the time Kyle was born, Tarsonis was under Confederate control. What did his parents do for a living? Did he have any siblings? How did he avoid being placed in the Confederate Ghost program? What was he like in school, and what did he plan to do when he grew up? When the Sons of Korhal abducted him (he would've been between nineteen and twenty-three or so), were members of his family hurt? Did he resent them for kidnapping him? Did he meet a friend, rival, or love interest while training to be a Ghost? What made him special enough to be offered the chance to become a Spectre? What made him turn against Mengsk and think of him as a "big jerk"? What group of rebels is he with, how did he meet them, and what caused him to be allowed to command them?

You don't have to answer all of these, or even any of them, but I think doing so would help make your character deeper.

Lady Nova: Nice job, just a couple of things. The "appearance" section is good, and I understand your response in "personality", but I think the latter could still use a little work. Is Sienna a violent person? When she's instructed to kill someone, does she enjoy it, or is every body she stacks up just another meaningless number to her? If her personality is deeply buried, does it sometimes show through, and if so what is it like? Does she resent what she has become, the mental control taken away from her, or does she revel in her new abilities?

A few things about her history. The Terran Dominion does not use mind wipes, but the Confederacy did, and any psychically gifted child on Tarsonis had to be registered by law for the Ghost program (though few parents of "gifted" children knew what the program was). Since the Sons of Korhal didn't even exist yet when Sienna was a child, let alone the Dominion, she must've been trained by the Confederacy. If so, how did she end up joining the Dominion? Did she intentionally defect from the Confederacy, or was she captured and mentally reprogrammed to serve new masters? Just a few ideas.

A Battlecruiser may be a bit on the overkill side, but I'm not too worried about it.

IUMA: I hope it will be good, too. That said, awesome work! Kudos for including an SCII campaign reference. Just one thing: the Phased Disturbance Disk is a force, not an object; it's like a giant electrical field that fries brain impulses and drives people crazy. Torin could be sent looking for the object (if it exists) that projects the disk, so just a minor change. Again, great job.

TheDoctor1911: I'll be blunt: this looks more like a personal fantasy than an actual in-universe character. You've basically made a Starcraft player and put him in Starcraft, and I'm afraid that doesn't really suit the dark, serious tone of the roleplay. I know exactly what you're saying with "remote command software", and we both know that a fourteen year old, no matter how gifted, would never be put in the position of having human lives in his hands. He would be sent to a military academy to become an even better commander at age twenty-one or older. I would love to have Zerg players, and Infested Terrans are fine, but I'm worried that allowing Carl in my roleplay will undermine everyone else's experience.

I'm sure you can re-work him into something that better fits into StarCraft lore if you still want to participate.

Yeah it wasn't meant to be serious. I'll get to fixing that. Should I simply edit the old post?

That's fine with me, though you might keep a copy of it; it was rather funny, even if it wasn't a good fit for the roleplay. The list of forces, in particular, made me chuckle. The whole thing could almost be an absurdist comedy, and if you apply the same creativity to a more serious character I think you'll be doing quite well indeed.

Give my regards to Ned; I hope he feels better soon.

Changed my character to be a little more story driven. We need 1 more Zerg and 1 more protoss and we should start. 2 people for each race. Are you going to have a character?

Thanks. I almost have my edit ready.

Also, the anti-spam system has cost me entire posts as well. What I do is type it out, then select all and copy, and if it eats my post I make a shorter post, and edit what I want into it. The system doesn't seem to block shorter posts, and you can edit it freely as far as I know.

I've editted my post to correct the misunderstanding of the nature of the disk.
I want to ask: Is base building going to be part of the roleplay or do we have to make due with our recon teams?

RreaperRandom: Yes, I will have a character; I just have to redo some parts of his biography because the anti-spam system ate it the first time and I didn't remember to save it. My character will be Protoss, as you can probably guess, so we'll need another Zerg player to hit the ideal target. Still, I won't say no to having more than six people if there's that much interest.

Your changes are good, but there are a few things I would like to mention. First, if Kyle's parents were Ghosts, they had to be Ghosts trained by the Confederacy, and if Kyle was trained at age seventeen he was too (the Sons of Korhal came into existence when he was nineteen). That's all fine, as long as you know, though you might give some thought to what happened to his parents. My last question lies in this: if the Dominion rescued Kyle, and trained him to be a Spectre, they basically saved his life and gave him a tremendous amount of power. Why does he hate them now?

    TheDoctor1911: Thanks, that's good advice.

IUMA: Since the Phased Disturbance Disk causes insanity in those who remain on the planet more than eighteen hours, building permanent structures might not be wise. Since you're Protoss, however, and can just warp in your forces, you can build an outpost if you plan it carefully.

My profile will follow shortly. If you know of anyone interested in playing a member of any of the races, though Zerg in particular would be great, please invite them to join.

Why did you not notice my small invasion force as my forces commanded before? Now I changed it, but before it was a fleet.

Off Topic:Wow, everyone who posted in this thread is canon fodder rank. Lol

RreaperRandom: Because I didn't ask you to change it, so I wasn't looking for it. Now that I do see it, I'd say it's good, though I hope you won't overplay the "custom" wraiths. As for the changes to your bio, they're good as well. You don't have to write anything, but I would keep in mind whether there's a specific event that was the turning point for Kyle's loyalties, especially because one of the players is loyal to the Dominion.

TheDoctor1911: Appearance and personality are great! Nice work. The history is good, too. I'm not sure what you're planning on doing with the forces list, because right now it doesn't really fit with the description listed in the bio (not a single zergling), but you're probably just waiting for the answer to your question. Speaking of which, it depends on the numbers. If your force really is small, since that's a liability in the case of the Zerg (limits your ability to drown planets in tides of blood), go ahead and have those abilities. If you want to make it on the larger side, you'll have to go without them, for the sake of fair play.

And now, at last, I re-type my character sheet.

Name: Thessir - the Dragoon Arbiter
    Gender: Male
    Race: Protoss
    Age: 744
    Base Unit: Arbiter

Appearance: Very few beings ever see Thessir's physical form. With eyes the orange-yellow color of a sunset that turn bright teal when he focuses his psionic power, and skin of a soft azure, he is an imposing presence even without the ability to make more than a few facial expressions understandable by Terrans. Yet he is maimed, so much so that his survival seems nearly impossible. Below his unmarred head he floats within a tank of nourishment fluid the deep blue color of the sea far from shore, cyberentic implants all over his body ensuring that his life signs remain normal. He has no legs below the ruins of his reverse-jointed knees, and his left arm is missing the twin to the long-fingered hand on the right.

Allies of Thessir are allowed to see his face when communicating with him, but foes see only his mighty Arbiter, one of the last of a powerful class of Protoss vessel thought completely lost with the fall of Aiur. A sleek vessel, with a central cockpit connecting two long, slender upper pontoons with two shorter, stubbier lower ones, Thessir's starship has clearly seen more elegant days, if not better ones. It is almost an extension of the aged warrior himself, its once-polished surface covered in a mess of cables, tacked on plates of extra armor, and additional maneuvering thrusters placed without regard for the ship's beauty. These modifications have saved Thessir's life many a time, and he does not resent the cost of using them.

When use of the Arbiter is no longer practical because of its size, Thessir descends to the surface of whatever planet he is near in the body of an Immortal. The Immortals of his forces, separated from the Protoss of Shakuras by both distance and resentment, little resemble their Dark Templar-influenced counterparts, but with the loss of the Dragoon Shrine and with it any chance of creating new dragoons, both sides came separately to the conclusion that existing dragoons would have to be upgraded to preserve those that remained. Like the Arbiter, the designs used by Thessir's forces are inelegant but effective, looking more cobbled-together but carrying effectively the same loadout as any standard Immortal. To avoid being targeted by assassins looking to eliminate a commander, Thessir's Immortal is identical to the others in his force.

Personality: Thessir can be described as a Protoss supremacist, and even more specifically a Khalai supremacist. When other Protoss, after the disastrous Kalath Intervention, promised not to interfere with less advanced races again, Thessir formed the belief that such interference was more vital than ever; screening the "lesser" races of the galaxy and either uplifting them or destroying them, depending on whether they could contribute positively to the sector, was in his opinion the divine mandate of the Protoss, and this school of thought attracted many followers. When nothing was done about the destructive, deceitful, often cruel Terrans, and their colonies allowed the Zerg to infest the sector and gain strength, he felt his point had been proven.

Perhaps ironically, Thessir has an extremely traditional viewpoint in other ways, such as in the case of the Dark Templar. It was one of these Dark Ones who maimed him and forced him to either die or accept the shell of a dragoon, and that only deepened his culture-based hatred of them. In his dealings with Terrans, he is cold and dispassionate. In his dealings with Zerg and Dark Templar, he is filled with righteous fury, never willingly allying himself with their ilk. Fellow "uncorrupted" Protoss, however, he greets with open arms and great enthusiasm; he knows that his entire species, let alone the one little subsection he still respects, is dying fast, and every time he meets anyone who might share his views is a rare opportunity he will not pass up.

In all things, Thessir is cautious. There was a time when he rushed eagerly into battle, and he excelled at it, but the hidden blade of a Dark Templar stole from him the enthusiasm for such battles. He cannot afford to lose any of his forces, and the knowledge that he inevitably will haunts him daily, leaving him in the desperate position of simply trying to minimize casualties without compromising results. He walks this delicate line with his head held high, however, for he knows that to give in to despair is to forfeit any chance at his goal: the restoration of the Protoss to the glory he remembers well, the Golden Age of Expansion into which he was born.

Biography: Exceeds character limit; can be found here.

Forces Commanded: Because Thessir has been cut off from the Protoss of Shakuras, he has been forced to make do without the advancements of their new military. He has compensated for this by modifying the dated vessels under his command, hopefully making them equal to the task of taking on current-generation enemy forces.

    Scout x4
    Shuttle x2
    Immortal x2
    Zealot x2
    High Templar x2
    Observer x1
    Arbiter/Immortal x1

Devouring ones are hero zerglings from brood war. I'd just call them zerglings, but I can't think of too many names that start with Z . :)
    Thanks.

Oh, sorry. Completely forgot. I was thinking of Devourers. It's been a long time since I played the Brood War campaign.

In that case, all accepted. You may have the requested abilities. Nice work.

    Name: Marx
    Gender: Male
    Race: Zerg
    Age: unknown
    Base unit: Infested Marine

Appearence: Marx wears a marine suit and at first does not seem to be infested. But when his enemy least expects it he will gun them down with his Cannister rifle and spines shot from hidden holes in his armor. His armor is blood stained all over, his eyes are jet black, and tentacles take the place if his hair.

Personality: As the overmind descended upon Aiur he sent Marx to gather a force and search for the source of the Disk's power. As Marx entered the warp rift with his large army the Overmind was slain at the exact moment he went through. The result was that of a time warp which has sent him to his destinatio, but also three years in the future as well. The rift field and the death of the Overmind had already harmed his mind enough that he has some how become immue to the insanity effect of the Disk. Either something is protecting him or he is already too insane. After he was able to take it all in he rallyed his survivng forces and they started to find a way leave the range of the Disk.

Biography: One of the first to get infeccted on tarsonis, he has served the overmind loyally and without falter. Marx eventually protected the queen of blades cocoon before it hatched and he has been apart of her guard with every other Zerg. He wished to partake in the attack on Aiur but then he was given his task to find what powered the Disk. Before he was infested Marx served under the old Mar Sara magistret as he commanded the defence of several key facilitys and the attacks on the protoss. Marx's only dream was freedom from the Confederates and so in a way got his freedom.

    Troops:
    10 zerglings
6 infested terrans (+ him and sc2 vesion)
    1 ultralisk
    5 drones

I Was wondering if I could build a base since units spawned from them would be insane already.

Marx is looking pretty good, but there are just a few things.

First, take a look at Personality. It doesn't describe how Marx thinks; what's written there should be the second paragraph of History instead. It is good, though; I liked the Overmind better than Kerrigan, and it's nice to have an old-school Zerg for that reason as well as because it explains why Marx is active when Kerrigan's forces are mostly still dormant.

Second, by being immune to the disk's effects, Marx is granted a tremendous advantage. He and his brood can infest the planet without fearing the time limit, eliminating for him the sense of urgency that other players will feel. This puts you as a player in a delicate position; you are able to do things that will make it extremely difficult for others to have fun. I am trusting you to not do so. In addition, you are (in a sense) on the side of the hostile environment, and that makes you the primary target to most players.

If all this is fine with you, you're accepted and permitted to build a base, but I reserve the right to remove your advantage if you abuse it. I don't think you will, though, so I bid you welcome. Enjoy the RP.

Everyone: All players except Lady Nova and Mattattack96 (because he just joined) have made the changes I requested, and that means we're almost ready to start. Everyone still here?

Ok thanks for that personality check I will make a new one on this post. And I except that I will be the one to gun for and I will make sure to not ruin any ones fun on purpose and if I do I will apologize in advance.

Personality (remade):Marx has gone compleatly insane from all the events that have transpired. He and his brood answer to no one but themselves. Marx has only one thing on his mind, kill anything that gets in his way, crosses his path, or even seen by him. He will achieve that which the overmind did not, he will consume the universe.

I will also keep the brood small as a way to even it out like I can only have 10 zerglings or so and only so many of my other units as well. Thanks again for ways to help me make Marx.
