I tend to find that the simpler the strat, the better. So I go with 2 rax (one tech lab and one reactor) a factory and a starport to get the basic M&M&M ball out, while praying that the match can be resolved with that. If my macro was up for the task (which it isn't), I'd probably transition to a stealth-based approach (a wave of banshees or a couple of surprise nukes) to force my opponent to get cloak detection, before switching back to a non-stealth approach, perhaps a mech army or just more M&M&M.
