mc2 has rewarded SirBaron 500 minerals for his efforts in making this excellent topic!

I just thought about putting together a summary of what has transpired since the beginning SC1, gives a little perspective where the story is heading:

    Chapter I:
    • Mission 1: The Magistrate together with Raynor relocates colonists in the Wasteland.
    • Mission 2: The Magistrate saves Backwater Station from the Zerg but ends up arrested together with Raynor.
    • Mission 3: The Magistrate is forced to hold out against several Zerg attacks in Mar Sara's core city when the Confederacy abandons the planet. Eventually the Magistrate is rescued by Arcturus Mengsk and the Sons of Korhal.
    • Mission 4: Raynor infiltrates the Jacobs Installation and recovers data discs containing supposedly Confederacy weapons technology.
    • Mission 5: Raynor meets up with Arcturus' second-in-command, the telepathic Ghost Sarah Kerrigan, on Antiga Prime, and together they free the Antigans from Confederate control. General Duke deploys a moderate force to deal with the rebellion, but it is annihilated.
    • Mission 6: The Norad II is "shot down" by Zerg space forces and crashed in the midst of two moderate Zerg hive clusters. Mengsk orders Raynor to move in and save Duke as well as a nearby Confederate colony. When saved, Edmund Duke is forced to join the Sons of Korhal in return for his life and military position.
    • Mission 7: Arcturus has discovered that the disks recovered from the Jacobs Installation contains information on Psi Emitters, a kind of device that emits energy mimicing that of Ghosts that can be used to attract Zerg. Kerrigan is ordered to deploy one of these emitters on Antiga Prime, giving the planet and it's inhabitants away to the Zerg on a golden platter while simoultaneously destroying immense numbers of Confederates.
    • Mission 8: Mengsk prepares to assault Tarsonis, home of the Confederacy, directly, but the planet's orbital defenses stand in their way, and Duke, who has great knowledge of the Confederate's defenses, punches through and allows Mengsk to make his way down on the planet and deploy another Psi Emitter, to the great dismay of Raynor and Kerrigan.
    • Mission 9: A great Protoss fleet under the command of Tassadar arrives at Tarsonis with the purpose of killing the Zerg upon and above the planet's infested surface. Mengsk orders Kerrigan to destroy the Protoss, since the Zerg is what keeps the Confederates from escaping. After a long, tough series of battles, Kerrigan is victorious and calls for evac as the Zerg she was forced to protect begin to attack her base. To Raynor's horror, Mengsk orders the fleet to move out and leave Kerrigan and her men to their deaths.
    • Mission 10: Abhorred by Mengsk's actions, Raynor and the Magistrate break of the Sons of Korhal (and becomes Raynor's Raiders). However, it has become clear that Mengsk and Duke has activated the Ion Cannon, a powerful Confederate weapon that could easily blast Raynor's fleet out of the sky should they attempt to escape. Together with the Magistrate, Raynor manages to destroy the Ion Cannon and make their escape.
End: With the Confederates broken and battered, Mengsk founds the Terran Dominion and coronates himself Emperor of this Dominion. Prior to holding his victory speech, the colonies of Umoja and Moria joins the Dominion.

    Chapter II:
    • Mission 1: The Overmind awakens "the Cerebrate", a sub-Cerebrate to Jormungand's lead Cerebrate, Araq, and set the task upon this newborn Cerebrate to protect the Overmind's latest creation, hidden within a Chrysalis. The Zerg has taken 9 of the 13 main Terran Worlds, including Tarsonis, and with the withdrawal of Tassadar's Protoss Fleet there was little left for the Cerebrate to destroy other than Omega Squadron soldiers incapable of escaping.
    • Mission 2: The Overmind has ordered the Cerebrate to move the Chrysalis to Char, but the remnants of Tassadar's fleet lingers on the platform from where the Zerg prepares to begin their journey. Using elite Zerg from the Tiamat Brood called Hunter Killers, the Cerebrate emerges victorious.
    • Mission 3: When arriving upon Char, it became clear to the Cerebrate that the now mature Chrysalis was sending out psychic emanations into space. Not soon after, Terran forces under the command of Edmund Duke arrived on order by the Dominion leader, Arcturus Mengsk. The Cerebrate defended the Chrysalis fiercly, forcing Duke on the run, but the Overmind ordered the Cerebrate to stay it's hand and allow Daggoth and the Tiamat to finish off Duke while the Cerebrate remained to protect the Chrysalis.
    • Mission 4: After Duke's minor defeat, yet another Terran force arrived on Char under James Raynor. At this time the Chrysalis had matured enough for it to give birth to whatever rested inside - and to Raynor's ultimate horror the creature that emerged were none other than Sarah Kerrigan, corrupted and enslaved by the Zerg Overmind. Kerrigan, on the order of the Overmind and with the help of her guardian, the Cerebrate, continued on to wipe out Raynor's base, but decided to let Raynor run away in face of destruction.
    • Mission 5: Kerrigan, weakened by her time inside the Chrysalis, begun to regain her power, but could not make use of her true potential due to something called Ghost Conditioning, a powerful hypnosis Ghosts went through to dampen their psychic powers. In order to remove this conditioning, Daggoth granted Kerrigan two Hunter Killers to raid the Amerigo Science Vessel, which held knowledge of the Ghost Conditioning as well as the method to remove it. Kerrigan did this successfully, removed her conditioning and abandoned the Amerigo right before a minor Terran force arrived and destroyed the vessel.
    • Mission 6: With her previously chained powers unleashed, Kerrigan was able to sense a Protoss fleet over Char, led by Tassadar. Drunk with power, Kerrigan taunted Tassadar and proceeded to attack his bases on Char's surface, but learned too late that it was a distraction to allow the Protoss to kill Zasz. Kerrigan, assuming the Overmind would soon revive him, was mildly bitter when she learned from Daggoth that the Overmind itself had went into a shock and forced the Cerebrates to uphold the order of the Swarm themselves without aid from the Overmind.
    • Mission 7: With Zasz dead and the Overmind momentarily crippled, the Garm Brood went insane and turned on it's former allies. Daggoth ordered the Cerebrate to destroy the Garm Brood to prevent the primary Hive clusters from being damaged. The Cerebrate was successful.
    • Mission 8: Eventually the Overmind recovered from it's shock and claimed it's assailant to be Zeratul, Prelate of the Dark Templars. When Zeratul killed Zasz through use of Dark Templar energies (which resembled the energy of the Overmind itself), his mind touched the Overmind's, allowing the Zerg ruler to learn the secret location of Aiur, and prepared the Swarm to invade the Protoss homeworld. Yet, the Dark Templar had to be dealt with, and Kerrigan as well as the Cerebrate were employed to make sure no Dark Templar could escape the planet alive.
    • Mission 9: After a long journey through Warp Space, the extended Zerg Swarm arrived in orbit around Aiur. The Overmind ordered the Cerebrate to claim a piece of the Khaydarin Crystal without explaining why. The Cerebrate complied, and after many hard fought battles against the Protoss, the Khaydarin crystal was seized and a piece of it was brought before the Overmind. Kerrigan did not partake in the battle, as she had been ordered to remain on Char and sift out the Protoss remaining and obliterate them.
    • Mission 10: Finally, the Overmind explained to the Cerebrate his reasoning. The Zerg and the Protoss had been created by the same race, the Xel'Naga, and the both of them held unique traits the Xel'Naga wanted to combine. The Protoss held "purity of form" while the Zerg held "purity of essence". The Overmind wanted to assimilate the Protoss, integrate them into the Swarm, combine the "purity of form" and the "purity of essence" and become... perfect. But the Overmind explained that it could only manifest upon the ground where the Xel'Naga first set foot upon Aiur - on top of this location the Protoss had erected a great Temple, which the Overmind desired razed. The Cerebrate led the initial assault, destroyed the Temple and protected the Zerg Drone carrying the Khaydarin Crystal as they made their way to the hallowed ground.
End: As the Khaydarin Crystal was set in place, the Overmind crashed down onto it. Soon afterwards wave after wave of Zerg forces descended upon the surface of the Protoss homeworld and burned their settlements, one after the other, as the Overmind rose on the planet's surface...

    Chapter III
    • Mission 1: Aldaris, a prominent member of the Protoss Conclave, has asked of the Executor, who replaced the former Executor known as Tassadar, to journey to the Protoss settlement known as Antioch and meet up with Praetor Fenix, who has been aiding Antioch fending off repeated Zerg attacks, with the purpose of ridding the region of the Zerg. The Executor is successful and manages to destroy the nearby Zerg together with Fenix.
    • Mission 2: Tassadar contacts Aldaris, the Executor and Fenix and speaks of the Dark Templar - "traitors" to the Protoss belief who were exiled from Aiur a long time ago - and their leader, Prelate Zeratul. According to Tassadar, Zeratul claims that the Zerg is controlled through Cerebrates. If the Cerebrates perish, then the Swarm will fall. Aldaris approves of Tassadars idea and sends Fenix together with the Executor to destroy the Baelrog Brood's Cerebrate, while he himself attempts to unsuccessfully persuade Tassadar to return. The Executor and Fenix is once again successful, and Fenix stays behind to witness the effect of their attack, only to find that the Cerebrate quickly reincarnates before his eyes.
    • Mission 3: Aldaris, furious with Tassadar's "deception", orders the Executor to save a small settlement known as Scion, from the Zerg. The Executor is successful in this, but two hours later word reaches them that Fenix and Antioch has fallen.
    • Mission 4: Angered by Tassadars action and grieving over Fenix death, Aldaris sends the Executor to locate and arrest Tassadar. The Executor eventually finds Tassadar, as well as the Terran Jim Raynor, cornered upon an orbital platform above Char. With the help of the Executor, Tassadar and Raynor escapes the Zerg, but Tassadar refuses to leave Char just yet, and forces the Executor to choose between following the Conclave, or following Tassadar and the Dark Templar. The Executor choose the latter.
    • Mission 5: Tassadar and the Executor set down on Char near an abandoned Terran Installation in which Kerrigan imprisoned the Dark Templar and their leader, Zeratul. When deploying their force upon the planet, Tassadar and the Executor were confronted by Edmund Duke, whose Alpha Squadron forces still lingered on Char with purpose of occupying the planet. Edmund Duke ordered Tassadar to cast down his weapons for "violating Dominion airspace." Tassadar responded that Duke was "in error" and that his "pathetic fleet" will be "burnt down to the last man" should they interfere in his business. Tassadar personally partook in punching through the Zerg forces, and descended into the installation.
    • Mission 6: Warned by Raynor to watch out for Kerrigan and her ilk, Tassadar claimed he would kill her without regard of the Terran's feelings for her. Many Terran still left inside joined Tassadar in his venture, and with the help of the Terrans Zeratul was found and rescued.
    • Mission 7: Upon returning to Aiur, Aldaris attempts to arrest Tassadar, Zeratul and the Executor. To their surprise, Fenix arrives with loyal Templar forces and rescues them, after which their amassed force descend upon the Conclave. After much fighting, Tassadar bursts with anger upon seeing Protoss fighting Protoss and submits himself to the Conclave.
    • Mission 8: Realizing nothing can be done to the Overmind without Tassadar, Fenix and the Executor rallies to rescue the young, imprisoned Templar who has been condemned to death for his "treason". They are also joined by James Raynor aboard the Hyperion, who claims he has a debt to pay Tassadar, who rescued Raynor from Char. After much fighting, Tassadar is freed and Zeratul arrives to confront Aldaris, after which they all depart.
    • Mission 9: In order to reach the Overmind, Tassadar and Zeratul concludes that the Cerebrates responsible for it's defense need be killed. Together with the Executor's forces, Zeratul kills the Cerebrates of which one is Gorn, the Baelrog Brood's Cerebrate which Fenix unsuccessfully attempted to kill.
    • Mission 10: Fenix, Zeratul, Tassadar in his ship, the Gantrithor, and Raynor in the Hyperion, assembles outside the Overmind's area. Aldaris apologizes to Tassadar for being a fanatic idiot (frankly...) and wishes him luck in the upcoming battle. After cleaving through enormous Zerg forces the Protoss, Terrans and the heroic leaders of the combined descend upon the Overmind. After repeated attacks, the Overmind's shell explodes, leaving it vulnerable.
End: Vulnerable and greatly weakened, the Overmind attempts to escape through a Warp Rift, and Tassadar, in a damaged Gantrithor, made the choice to just bite the bullet and end it all. By charging High and Dark Templar energies into the hull of the Gantrithor, the ship exploded into a storm of dual-energy tearing at the Overmind, finally causing it to die. Despite Tassadars valiant sacrifice and the ultimate destruction of the Overmind, there was another to assume leadership of the Swarm...

    Will add BW tomorrow.

Here is the Brood Wars summary:

    Chapter IV:
    • Mission 1: Despite Tassadar's sacrifice, Aiur fell swiftly under the mad, disarrayed and ravening Swarm. Aldaris, the Executor and Zeratul contemplated their situation, and came to the conclusion that the only way to save the remnants of the Protoss was to escape through the fully functioning Warp Gate on Aiur. Zeratul led the way and a majority of the Protoss fighters were able to escape before the Swarm launched itself upon the Warp Gate.
    • Mission 2: Upon arrival in their destination, Shakuras - home of the Dark Templar, Zeratul, the new Praetor Artanis and the remaining Protoss are met by Dark Templar warriors. Through the help of these Dark Templar, the wearied Protoss manage to destroy the Zerg in the region around the Warp Gate on Shakuras, and Fenix as well as Raynor claims it is for the best if they remained on Aiur to shut down the gate in order to stem the flow of Zerg into Shakuras.
    • Mission 3: To the great dismay of the Protoss race, many Zerg made it through the Warp Gate, including a pair of Cerebrates. In order to fight off this intrusion, Matriarch Raszagal suggests to utilize the Xel'Naga Temple on Shakuras, which with the proper High and Dark Templar energies could scour the Zerg from the face of the planet. However, two of the Cerebrates who made it to Shakuras began to nest around the base of the Temple. The Executor, utilizing the numerary Dark Templar warriors, easily destroy the Cerebrates and clear the Temple area. To their surprise, Kerrigan arrives at the Temple wanting to speak with the Matriarch, and to everyones surprise the Matriarch agrees.
    • Mission 4: Kerrigan claims that the Overmind's death set her free, and that there is growing a new Overmind on Char, as ordered by the Cerebrate Daggoth. If it was to mature, Kerrigan would be enslaved again and commit more murders (-.-) in the name of the Swarm. Zeratul is more interested in the Xel'Naga Temple, which can only be activated through using two crystals, the Uraj and Khalis, which contain High and Dark Templar energies, respectively. Kerrigan agrees to help the Protoss if they aid her in turn. Together with a minor Protoss force, Kerrigan descends upon Braxis, a cold moon, and claims the Uraj crystal from a small group of Dominion Terrans.
    • Mission 5: In an attempt to leave Braxis, the Protoss are halted by a new invader in the Korprulu Sector - the United Earth Directorate, who Vice Admiral Alexei Stukov claims have come to seize the sector. Artanis, ever the brash, young Protoss proclaims there is nothing for the Protoss to fear with these Terrans, but Zeratul reminds him that the Overmind could never have been killed without the Terrans helping them. To escape Braxis, Artanis leads a small strike force with the purpose of taking out the UED Power Generators, which when destroyed will power down the orbital blockades. Artanis is successful through aid from Zeratul's backups, and the Protoss escape safely.
    • Mission 6: Zeratul claims the Khalis is to be found on Char, near a significant psionic energy source. Kerrigan claims this to be the infant Overmind. The Protoss are presented with two choices - either they can assault the weak Overmind, sending it and it's minions into remission which would allow a small Protoss force to move in and pick up the crystal, or they could punch through the Zerg defenses around the crystal and claim it that way. By the end of the day, the Protoss escaped safely with the Khalis in their grasp.
    • Mission 7: Upon returning to Shakuras with the crystals, it has become clear that the conservative Aldaris have initiated a rebellion against the Matriarch, being grealy angered at her for collaborating with Kerrigan. The Matriarch orders the Executor to utilize the Dark Archons to dispatch of Aldaris forces so that he can be brought before trial. The Executor is successful, but while questioning Aldaris, Kerrigan arrives and kills him right in a sentence. Zeratul bursts with anger and banishes her from Shakuras.
    • Mission 8: The final hour of their plan commences. The Matriarch order the Executor to guide Artanis wielding the Uraj, Zeratul wielding the Khalis and the remaining Protoss forces to the Temple. Cutting through immense Zerg numbers, the Executor is successful, and after protecting the Temple for fifteen minutes while charging up, the Executor is the last who enters the Temple.
End: Utilizing the power of the Uraj and Khalis, the Xel'Naga Temple emit a powerful wave of energy that burned away the Zerg intruders while leaving the Protoss inside unharmed. Artanis, standing on the very top of the Temple, was surprised to find the sun rise for the first time in many millenia upon Shakuras, the Twilight world...

    Chapter V:
    • Mission 1: In orbit around Braxis, Gerard DuGalle, Admiral of the UED, explained the situation to the Captain. The UED had entered the Korprulu sector with the purpose of defeating the Terran Dominion, tame the Zerg Overmind and pacify the Protoss using the Zerg. However, the first step was still to be taken, and the Captain was ordered to descend upon Braxis and besiege it's capital, Boralis, in order to weaken the Dominion. While searching for viable locations to harvest Vespene gas, the Captain crossed his path with Samir Duran, a Confederate lieutenant who claimed to know a secret backdoor into Boralis. Vice Admiral Alexei Stukov took him under his wing, and with the help of Duran Boralis was successfully besieged.
    • Mission 2: In order to further cripple the Dominion, DuGalle ordered the Captain to lead an assault on the Dylarian Shipyards, which hosts a major part of the Dominion Battlecruiser forces, and commandeer these cruisers. With all of the UED's arsenal, the Captain successfully commandeered all of the docked cruisers and used them against Duke's fleet, which had arrived soon after receiving word of the attack. Duke showed great surprise at these Earthborne, who had come so far to make war.
    • Mission 3: The UED's next move was against Tarsonis, where the Confederates had stored a thing called Psi Disrupter, a greatly empowered Psi Emitter that not only could lure the Zerg but also disrupt their psionic communication with eachother. Stukov wanted to use this against the Dominion, while Duran urged to destroy it as Mengsk could use it against the UED. Strangely enough DuGalle agreed with Duran, and sent the former Confederate down to Tarsonis to destroy the Disrupter. Duran soon discovered that there lay six Hive clusters around the Disrupter that would greatly hamper the destruction efforts, and thus they were forced to one by one destroy the Hive clusters before Duran could move in and plant their charges. However, at this point Stukov forceably assumed responsibility of the Device's destruction by sending a team of Ghosts to the Disrupter.
    • Mission 4: Soon enough, Korhal lay bare for the UED to attack. However, there were two major defenses that Mengsk could make use of to hamper the siege of Augustgrad - first was his immense Battlecruiser fleet and second a vast array of Nuclear Bombs. As the Confederates had burned Korhal with nukes before, Mengsk feared not to burn the already scarred world again. Unfortunately, there was only time enough to destroy either of the defenses before the siege of Augustgrad had to commence. When the battle was over, the Captain had made his choice and successfully destroyed one of the two defenses.
    • Mission 5: With one of the two defenses Mengsk had at his disposal destroyed, the Captain could successfully besiege Augustgrad. In a daring attempt to escape, Mengsk's flagship, the Norad III, was surrounded by UED ships. To the UED's surprise, James Raynor and several minor Protoss vessels appeared and took Mengsk with them as they were recalled back to Protoss territory.
    • Mission 6: Having tracked Mengsk and Raynor to Aiur, the UED Fleet descends and creates a small base in the outskirts of the Protoss base. In it lies a fully functional, yet inactive Warp Gate, and James Raynor's Command Center. As the UED construct their base, Stukov announces that the Gate has become active, rousing many of the previously docile Zerg in the area. The Captain is ordered to assault the Protoss base while Duran is charged with the task of holding off Zerg in the northeast, but as the Captain destroys the Command Center, the massive Zerg force Duran was supposed to hold off arrives, allowing Raynor and Mengsk to escape through the Warp Gate, after which it self-destructs. Duran claimed he moved his forces, and when Stukov tried to speak to him he claimed his com equipment was failing and cut the transmission. Stukov tells the Captain he must depart in "personal business".
    • Mission 7: Duran soon announced that Stukov's "personal business" was the re-assembly of the Psi Disrupter. Apparently, Stukov only had it dismantled and moved to Braxis. DuGalle was shocked at the actions of his close friend, and reluctantly ordered the Captain and Duran to deal with Stukov. Duran entered the Disrupter and confronted Stukov, and killed him. But in his dying words, Stukov divulged that it was Duran who was the traitor, and not Stukov, and that the Psi Disrupter was vital in the upcoming assault against the Overmind. When alarms and the self-destruct sequence rang, DuGalle ordered the Captain to keep the Disrupter in one piece. The Captain successfully did this and brought the Disrupter under control.
    • Mission 8: Through the use of the Disrupter, the young Overmind's power over the Swarm was destabilized. Through use of the entire UED fleet, several Zerg Cerebrates in this area was killed through conventional means, all due to the Disrupter, and the UED medics went into place and injected the Overmind with neurostim charges, which would render it susceptible to Psionic control. However, as the Overmind was "chained" Duran appeared, clearly infested, and introduced Kerrigan, who claimed she had allied several power factors in the sector. DuGalle claimed the Disrupter would defeat her, but she responded simply that it would not last forever. She also reminded DuGalle of his of Stukov by claiming he was twice the man DuGalle was, after which she hastily departed with Duran.
End: In the aftermath of the final battle against the Overmind. DuGalle sent back a glorious and by far means inaccurate report to Earth, claiming amongst other things that Stukov had died on Char while fighting the Zerg. He may have been the most powerful factor in the sector at that time, but DuGalle felt more increasingly pressed as the enemies he had cast down began to rise back up to strike back at him...

    Chapter VI:
    • Mission 1: With the Overmind under UED control and the Psi Disrupter interfering with her control over the Zerg, Kerrigan faced a large majority of her former Broods turn on her. Desperately, she managed to free "the Cerebrate" from the Overmind, the very same Cerebrate who defended her as she rested inside the Chrysalis. Kerrigan charged the Cerebrate with rescuing many of the vulnerable Hive clusters on Tarsonis, the ruined capital of the Terran Confederacy. The Cerebrate was successful in this, bringing many Zerg back under Kerrigans control while simultaneously earning itself standing with Kerrigan.
    • Mission 2: In order to restore the strength to her Broods, Kerrigan had to have the Psi Disrupter destroyed. Employing the help of Arcturus Mengsk, James Raynor and Fenix, Kerrigan launched an assault against the Disrupter on Braxis. James Raynor took out the Power Generators powering the Disrupter while Mengsk deployed an SCV with a Psi Emitter to allowe Kerrigan to lure the Zerg into her service. With the stray Zerg back under control, Kerrigan assaulted and destroyed the Disrupter sucessfully.
    • Mission 3: In return for his services, Mengsk demanded aid to assault Korhal and retake the Dominion capital. Kerrigan agreed, but claimed she needs more funding for the war effort, and suggested a raid against the Kel-Morian Combine, the richest of the many factions in the Korprulu Sector, which had cowardly submit to the UED in return to keep their mining activities going. Fenix even suggested that he'd lead the raid himself. Aside the main concern, Duran questioned Kerrigan whether how long they could keep up the ruse. Kerrigan claimed they already knew. Also, Kerrigan wished of the Cerebrate to infest as many Command Centers as possible. It is unknown whether the Cerebrate did this or not. Once the necessary amount of minerals had been aquired, the Zerg and Fenix left Moria.
    • Mission 4: Kerrigan's allies felt uneasy with her, believing she would turn on them in a blink of an eye once she had gotten what she wanted. Mengsk claimed he did not care as long as Korhal was returned under his control, and in response to this Raynor burst with anger at him since it was Mengsk in the beginning that had caused Kerrigan to become what she was. Kerrigan breaked the two apart and told them to play nice, and claimed that she, with the proper amount of resources, was ready to initiate her siege against Augustgrad. Facing two immense UED armies as well as several Zerg, she nontheless emerged victorious and claimed the planet for Mengsk.
    • Mission 5: With the Disrupter destroyed and Korhal returned to the Dominion, the UED's power in the sector was broken. Their only remaining threat remained on Char, near the Overmind. However, Mengsk, Raynor and Fenix were all threats to her power, and together with Duran she coordinated sneak attacks against their bases on Korhal whilst the troops were resting after the great siege. The chaos awoke both bases and even lured out Edmund Duke and Fenix on the battlefield, both who taunted Kerrigan. In turn, she destroyed the bases and killed both Duke, to Mengsks dismay, and Fenix to Raynor's horror. Raynor vowed to kill Kerrigan one day, and disappeared.
    • Mission 6: Not soon after the death of Duke and Fenix, Duran bringed news that their Hive clusters on Tarsonis were under heavy attack from renegade Zerg. Upon arrival, four of Kerrigans five main clusters fell to the Zerg. However, the Zerg here were too far away for the Overmind to control, and thus Kerrigan could conclude that the source of UED's control was a small encampment of Scientists near the renegade Zerg clusters. By killing the Scientists, Kerrigan freed and eventually assumed the Zerg under her own control.
    • Mission 7: With a substantial number of Zerg numbers under her control, Kerrigan prepared for the on-coming assault on the Overmind, but to do so, she needed Raszagal. Duran suggested that they assault a Protoss city on Shakuras named Talematros to create a diversion, which lay on a huge plateau inaccessible by land. However, the city was also impervious to air assault, as an electro-magnetic field prevented Zerg flyers from flying near the city. On Kerrigan's orders, Duran went in and planted five explosive charges near special Pylon clusters outside of Talematros, that when destroyed caused the City's Pylons to overload and effectively destroy the city as well, allowing Kerrigan to snatch the Matriarch in the confusion.
    • Mission 8: With the Matriarch as bait, Kerrigan managed to convince Zeratul to lend his Dark Templars to Kerrigan in return for promise that the Matriarch would be allowed to go free. Using the Dark Templars given to her, Kerrigan proceeded to assault the Overmind and wound it, after which Zeratul moved in and dealt the killing blow to it's weakened, infant form and thus rendering the UED completely powerless. Zeratul then demanded to have his Matriarch returned, and Kerrigan held her promise - she allowed Raszagal to return, but it would seem as Raszagal did not want to. Outraged, Zeratul forced the Matriarch to join him as they departed, while Kerrigan assumed full control over the Zerg Swarm.
    • Mission 9: With the entire Swarm returned under her control, the Queen of Blades soon began destroying the remnants of the UED still on Char. However, Duran reported 6 hours after the slaying of the Overmind that Zeratul, as well as the Matriarch, who was imprisoned within a Stasis Cell - was preparing to depart Char within just half an hour. In response to this, Kerrigan ordered all of her broods to assault Zeratul's base, capture the Dark Templar Prelate and the Matriarch, but leave no other Protoss alive. Her amassed broods easily succeeded in this, and lay waste to the base. Before Kerrigan could kidnap the Matriarch again, Zeratul killed Raszagal. The Queen of Blades was very impressed, and even let Zeratul go, since he then would have to live with the knowledge that it was he who killed Raszagal.
    • Mission 10: After having abruptly lost contact with Duran, Kerrigan detects three enemy fleets moving in on her position. They are revealed to be Mengsk, DuGalle and Artanis, all whom has arrived with the intent to destroy the Queen of Blades. However, Kerrigan once again displays her power, and that of the Swarm, and singlehandedly devastates all three fleets despite being outnumbered.
End: With all of her enemies battered and broken, Kerrigan assumed control of the sector. The Swarm grew rapidly as her minions consumed her weakened foes, yet as she sat on her throne and stared into the vastness of the space, she sensed with fear that someone stared back at her...

With the loss of the Psi Disrupter on Braxis, the defeat at Korhal and the death of the Overmind, DuGalles forces was reduced to naught. He rallied the remnants of his fleet to retreat, to make it back to Earth and spread the word of the failure. In a letter he sent back to his wife, Helena, DuGalle explains that the colonists were stronger than expected, and that the Overmind they had been sent to tame, had proved untameable. He also confessed his part in the death of Stukov, and told her to pass on to his children that he had died a glorious death protecting them. Then he put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger.

Not UED ship ever made it back to Earth.

lucky, all ive got is DSL and so if i'm lucky engouf to get in to a game with a low engouf latency either the games always laggy or they boot me because I didint download the map fast engouf so battle net was never realy for me.

AND THE STRAGEST THING IT THAT I COULD PLAY THE WORLD IN CONFLICT BETA ON MEDIUM QUALITY WITH 15 OTHER PEOPLE AND IT WOULDINT LAG AT ALL!!??!?!?!
