Seriously, why did they cancel it? It was going to be a stealth shooter with mind control! Tom Clancy with psionic power and .... sexy. Also, the multiplayer was going to be absolutely mind blowing! Anyone else feel absolutely robbed? P.S. Yes I know this thread is about 5 years to late, I just needed to get it out of my system.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starcraft:_Ghost#Development And still no concrete answer as to why it was suspended. If I had to make a guess I'd say that Nihilistic Software and Swingin' Ape Studios either cracked under the pressure or didn't have very good development teams to begin with.
There have been some answers. Among other things, it just took too long. A whole new generation of consoles passed, essentially rendering their work moot.
I understand that it fell behind and couldn't keep up with the tech, but surely the concept is solid enough to try and upgrade to this gen/ next gen?
Nah, make it a side campaign, like Enslavers. But they'd need to wait for the novel to come out. When. Ev. Er. (So many delays!)
If they use the common PC, it would be better. Since updates are easier. Since apparently X-box live only allows 6mb Updates at once or something, which i find it stupid, i may of got the figure wrong.
It was probably canceld because it wasn't living up to blizzards quality of games that they make and also they needed to focus to keep starcraft 2 on schedule.
