So, throughout the game, your character is always "just behind" the Dark Wanderer (and thus his companion, Marius). In fact, you even run into the Dark Wanderer in Act 3!
    So,
    1) How do we not run into Marius. (can be more easily answered by "luck")
    2) How the hell does Marius get picked off by Baal, who then has to travel to Mt. Arreat. All the while, Marius already heard about your character's accomplishments of defeating Diablo. Does it really take that long for you to find Baal? since in LoD, tyrael just points you to harrogath, so this should not be the case. However, in the original Diablo 2, Tyrael says we have earned our rest (correct??). So....2 conflicting things... the latter of which doesn't make any sense -- why the hell would you rest knowing that Baal is looking for the thing that can destroy your world?

also, how does Baal just walk in the insane asylum, and why's there no one in there but Marius? And, why don't the 3 prime evils detect Maruis' and baal's soulstone's presences and kill him?

    sigh.

You truly live up to your namesake.
(reference to when Cain says Baal lives up to his namesake)
