Tutorial: The Shop (2.0)

Vryth's post didn't say anything about fair warning, just randomly replacing stock. Which is not much different from maxing stock all at once.

 

Indeed, since Vryth and LK are the same person, we will only get them at times they are on. About half of our members are sleeping at those moments. And 5 to 10 seems a bit low.

 

@ Meee: It is because people who can't afford one now might be able to afford one later on. Also LK = Vryth, and I think he meant a shop announcement. I don't know where that would appear but anyway. He's been very considerate about the shop especially in the price and stock department so I'm sure there's a lot of thought behind his decision.

I'm with BoP on the minimum stock though. There will be enough collectibles and while 1st editions are half pet half collectible, I think 10 of the most expensive and high-tier units is a minimum. The price tag is enough of a safety net.

 

Every member with about 1k posts has 12000 minerals now. Enough for the mothership. And we more then five of those members as far as I know...

 

...which is exactly why the stock will be introduced gradually.

Also I think 100 minerals per reputation point sounds better. They're rarely used anyway.

 

People should use them more imo. But only when it really is a good post or thread. The thank you raises you vb points, and with that your level. However, level also increases by posting and other stuff. Rep should be the main, erm, member usefullness meter again.

Also, I just hate missing out on pets that are introduced while I should be asleep. The same goes for mineral hunts. Never got a prize because of the time.

 

I promise atleast one time (more likely 2-3 times) I do a random stock will be on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday and the only time period I am guranteed to not be during those days is 11AM to 4PM GMT. As for the stock amount I will look at increasing the high cost ones but it won't be by much if I decide to (no more than 8 for the MS and 15 for the rest).

 

So you decided to start with giving the 1st edition Phoenix a 1000 stock limit? XD

And yes, why is there not a Terra-Tron pet.
Idea - Hero pet?
One of each is available.
Each player can only buy one.
It costs an insane amount of minerals.

 

We must construct additional pylons in order to get a Terra-tron pet.

Terratron isn't there because it's a fake. Like the Tauren Marine, which is also unavailable. And the Ultralisk: superunit. Only restocked along with the carrier and mothership.

 

Why are Protoss "honoured" with two "super units" anyway?

Not as a pet. Pets are only confirmed units. However, axed and other loosely related things might appear as statues and collectibles. In fact there are already several, you just need to know where to look

Ok, here is an update, half of the Motherships, Carriers, and Battlecruisers (1st edition) have been put up for sale, I will put up the rest at a random time over the weekend. The reason I changed my plan, was because I changed the prices and stocks of every upper item in the new upper tier (The 4 mentioned units and the Archon, Queen, Colossus, and now the Thor). With the exception of the Battlecruiser and Mothership everything recieved a price increas as well as a stock increase (with the exception of the Thor which recieved a stock decrease).

The Marine has also recieved a stock increase the total will now be 70 instead of 60
