We're working on that kind of a section. You'll have a better idea of how it will work tomorrow.

    Relax. :D

I am a bit pissed that they're not even attempting to make this look legit. 40 votes in 24 hours from the same location. Fun.

ok, once that section is up, is any user going to be able to input data, or is it only going to be limited to a few people?

Behind by 20. Will we lose next month too or is this going to be rectified?

Rectified how? There's nothing we can do other than ask them to play fair

If someone resorts to cheating, don't you think they're desperate enough to win every month to laugh at that request?

If Jon could track the origin and number of votes, the site can too. I say contact the site and have them look into this. I'm quite sure they don't stand cheating unless it involves money for them :p

We could always match them, give them a taste of what it is like.

I'm not going to resort to cheating to beat them. They can cheat all they want. I really don't care. Now that we've lost one month (by the most despicable means possible) the specialness is gone and I won't have any more to do with the competition.

I believe I may be removing our site from the list entirely. I don't want to be associated with cheating.

However, I also don't want this to be a bad mark on SC-Source's reputation or Webnet's in general. He's a decent enough guy and shouldn't be blamed for the actions of one retarded member.

I can't determine the voter's specific geographical location or any sort as he's clearly behind some kind of university or corporate firewall, but is generating the same IP ranges for multiple votes. ISP companies usually provide a general range of IPs like 41.265.12.48 and then 41.265.56.18 etc, but these IPs are all very similar as in 41.265.12.48 and 41.265.12.49. Normal ISPs do not function like that for IP assignments. I do know it's generally from the West Coast, but that tells me nothing.

I find the fact that you're willing to give up so easily disappointing.

*shrug* I think I'm going to keep the site on there but I'm no longer going to encourage voting when someone is just going to cheat ahead of us anyway.

Every time we took the lead they would jump 10-20 votes. And at the end the guy wasn't even trying to be cautious.

Then contact the site. E-mails are free and surely you can spare the 5 minutes to describe the problem. I'm fairly sure they'd monitor the votes and take the necessary steps if need be... it's their reputation on the line, too.

The problem is it isn't 100% that anyone is cheating, he may have just asked his friends to help out.

West Coast huh? Maybe it is LK or Wlck. LAWL JK!

Even if they could do something about it, which they can't, they wouldn't. All they care about is in the incoming hits which means they would be happy that someone is taking advantage of the system.
