So what kind of mouse do you all have?

I dont know how to explain this but i feel my mouse suffers like a 1sec or in the millisecond delay. When im in normal windows the mouse works great, no delay, cursor is very responsive. But when i start playing SC i can feel a slight delay and its really annoying because i can notice it a bit.

This is the mouse i own, nothing fancy or expensive(When i bought it at the time). I got this on sale when it was $20, i had a $5 coupon so i ended paying like $15 total for it.

Logitech - M305 Wireless Optical Mouse

So yeah any idea why i might be getting a slight delay? And what mouse are you guys playing with, maybe ill have to look into a different mouse....

That looks neat. And the lag you feel is normal for wireless mice - it's not because of budget issues that pro gaming steers clear of them. As for your issue of experiencing greater lag in-game, have you tried ticking the "reduce mouse lag" feature in SC2? That might solve it... I haven't checked it out myself to know.

I've been using a Logitech EX110 for about 3 years now.

Hey, Ive messed with the mouse settings in the SC game settings one time, ill go back again and check it out and see if i can improve the performance.

    And i used to use that LogitechEX110, i primarily used the keyboard for my Xbox 360 though. ^^;

I use a ProClick cause the other ones were too expensive :p If I had the funds I'd probably get an imperator or a deathadder from razer.

What's better to use? A wireless or wire mouse? I use some dinky lil blue logitech thingy that looks like the guys in the first post. Been wondering if a normal mouse that connected to the computer would be better in terms of SC2 play.

What's better is up to taste. #2 suggests that wireless are to be avoided for gaming, but then you sacrifice convenience. I, for one, like to use my PC from the other end of the room sometimes.

I'm not talking about what's more comfortable, I mean what is better. Least amount of mouse lag etc and so forth. I'm guessing wire?

Eventhough im not an expert but it would seem its just common sense that a wired mouse would be the best choice for gaming. Last week i was getting terrible lag with the mouse i have, i checked the battery to see if that was it, it was 3/4 charged so that wasant problem and few days later started to work normally again. The bad thing though, is when your running low on battery the mouse starts to skip like crazy, then you got to run to get your spare batterys.

I've been using a Logitech MX518 for years now, and it still performs great. Love the grip it has, since your hand practically never gets tired. That, and it just looks kinda nice. ^^

Paid about 40 euros or something for it when it was just released, but you can probably get it a lot cheaper in most stores nowadays.

I just use a cheap 30$ generic, optical wired mouse, with the sensitivity turned all the way up.

However If I had the money, I would buy one of them fancy 6K DPI mice.

    I wouldn't call $30 for a mouse cheap...

Oh ok, well i guess its relative considering my power supply was 140$ and my video card was 550 bucks and my case was 150 bucks when purchased..

I guess my perspective on pc part prices is skewed. :mask:

Nah, $100+ each for PSU and case is pretty normal. Shouldn't really skew your price perspective. I'm no stranger to paying a premium for mice and keyboards, but a generic USB optical mouse should only cost $10 or less.

On the Rig I'm currently on I use a Logitech G500 (yes, I took the picture):

And on my other Rig, I use a Logitech G9x (again, I took the picture):

Both are great mice, but the G9x feels like it could easily break. The G500 is my favorite. I've owned A LOT of Gaming mice over the years. Mainly from Razer and Logitech, and I have to say, the G500 out performs and feels a lot better than the G5, the G7, the G9x, the DeathAdder, the Orochi, and the Microsoft Sidewinder.

@Takaim I'd probably say wire, yeah. Haha.

I use a Microsoft Mouse that works fine just for me, just really basic, no flashiness. Wanting something from Razer though, damn the pricey-ness of their stuff!
