None of them were that great. I'd be torn between the Kel-Morian Combine and the Dominion. In the latter case, you only seem to have bad things happen to you if you rebel against the government. You're more likely to die because the government just doesn't care about you than active malice. In the case of the KMC, well, scrabble to get money
Added a poll. I think I'd prefer living in the Dominion. People in the big cities seem to have a bit more security.
Why isn't Umoja or UED up there? I'd definitely pick Umoja though. The Confederacy and Dominion are the same thing: repression of free speech and private rights and not giving a crap about fringe worlds; The Kel-Morian Combine only cared for profits with minimal worker rights and safety, while the UED is a fascist dictatorship that has "purified" things like racial and genetic minorities. Umoja seems to be the only terran faction that isn't messed up in some way.
Honestly, its because I didn't remember Umoja when I made the poll. I don't think that place has ever been mentioned in the games themselves . The reason the UED isn't on there is because we don't know a lot about it. We know some things about the EPL, but many of those (like the disdain against psychics and cyborgs) seem to be no longer present in the UED.
I think Umoja was mentioned in the SC1 manual and/or strat guide, but they are never mentioned in vanilla or BW.
I think even I would choose dominion because I can enjoy powers and live in security as it is a new and big place. i ddint understand the concept of these places. What if I choose confederacy for staying in! click here
